Bois Night Out Launches Tonight — Viva the Kings

Tonight, we launch a new era.

Bois Night Out is the answer to a question I’ve been holding in my heart for years:

What would a thriving Drag King scene look like in Sydney?

For the past couple of years, we’ve been without a regular Drag King show. Since the iconic Big Rod wrapped The Drag Kings monthly event, there’s been a gap — a stage waiting to be filled, a community ready to rise.

And tonight, that stage comes alive.

Bois Night Out is here — and it’s everything we’ve been waiting for.

A monthly Drag King variety night at the Factory Theatre, Bois Night Out celebrates queer masculinity, joy, performance, and play. It’s for the bold, the tender, the filthy, and the fabulous. It’s for anyone who’s ever thought: Maybe I could be a King, too.

👑 Meet the Kings Taking the Stage

Izzy Ashido (he/they)

He’s filthy, feral and full of debauchery. Izzy Ashido has been slamming his crotch and knees across Sydney stages — most notoriously as the current reigning winner of the Sydney Mardi Gras Drag King Games. Expect something spooky, feral, and deliciously sexual. Catch Izzy doing what he does best — and be sure you book a trip to the clinic afterwards.

Star Gayze (they/them)

Spectral. Seductive. Celestial. The dazzling @star.gayze is about to make you tremble in fear and arousal. This club‑kid drag creature is the creator and event producer of @creature_preacher, a non‑binary cabaret that brings divine chaos to Australia and Hong Kong. Tonight, expect Asiany K‑popy boy‑band‑type sht* that’ll leave you star‑struck.

Fine China (he/him)

Fresh from the kiln and hot to go, Fine China is a certified Lover Boy and self‑proclaimed King Violinist. Debuting with Kings of Joy in early 2024, he’s since graced stages like The Bearded Tit, Qtopia, and The Red Rattler. Tonight, he’s bringing you a hot‑leather‑cowboy fantasy and rock‑hard violin shredding that’ll melt your heart (and maybe your face).

Dario di Bello (he/him)

Born into Casa di Bello, a long line of bi‑gender performers and velvet‑hearted dreamers, Dario rules with presence, grace, and dangerously good wardrobe choices. In his solo performance to Head & Heart by Joel Corry, Dario plays with the tension between emotional longing and physical desire — light, flirty, and full of that signature charm.

TEABOI (they/he/she)

A genderfluid drag thing and self‑confessed tea connoisseur (not just the drinkable kind). TEABOI teaches at their own dance studio, Bouquet of Pansies, and is known for boogieing their way into people’s hearts — and trouble. Quietly cheeky, book‑loving, and always up for a good time, TEABOI is ready to bring the heat to the Bois Night Out stage.

Kings of Joy featuring Hans Baller, Cabramatta Kev & Jim Junkie — Is It A Crime?

A bunch of best men surprise their high school bestie at his wedding with a wildly tone‑deaf song choice. Is it a crime to want them all? Expect Magic Mike meets Boy Band — a perfect mix of charm, rhythm, and cheek.

Hosted by Jim Junkie & Bad Boy Cameo

Your hosts for the night will keep the energy high and the crowd howling. Expect charisma, chaos, and charm — the Kings of Joy way.
